What are Laser Treatments?

Lasers used for aesthetic purposes work the same way as other lasers: they concentrate a beam of light at one specific wavelength. Different wavelengths have different effects. For example, some wavelengths are absorbed by melanin pigments, making them suitable for treating dark spots, sun damage, and unwanted hair. Others target the layers of the skin where collagen is produced, new skin cells are born, and the laser can stimulate a renewal process.

Are Laser Treatments Painful?

Describing what a treatment feels like can be difficult since each person experiences sensations differently. However, people who have laser treatments with us rarely, if ever, describe a treatment as painful. The most common description is that each pulse of the laser feels like a rubber band being snapped on the skin, a mild sting or a tingling feeling.

Your comfort is our priority. If you feel anxious about any procedure or have concerns about your comfort level, we recommend sitting down for an honest conversation with your aesthetician. They have extensive experience with these procedures and can explain in detail how they work, what to expect, and how people usually respond.

Numbing agents or sedation are generally not required for our laser treatments, but we will always do our best to make procedures comfortable and not intimidating.

What are the Benefits of Laser Treatments?

Laser treatments can be used for a wide range of purposes. There are several factors that make lasers such a popular option for aesthetic treatments.

Flexible

Lasers can address many types of concerns. Among our most popular laser treatments include laser hair removal, which targets melanin pigments in your hair roots, and vaginal rejuvenation, which rejuvenates the vaginal tissues to restore healthy function. However, lasers can also be used to break up tattoo ink, target pigmentation issues, and stimulate new collagen production.

Customizable

Many laser treatments can be adjusted to meet your needs. The controlled precision of a laser allows it to target the layers of skin or other tissues where it will have the maximum effect. At the same time, they can treat specific skin concerns or layers of tissue with little or no damage to the surrounding area. Your aesthetician can tailor your treatment to your needs.

Predictable

The precision of lasers lets them achieve consistently excellent results. Laser treatments deliver consistent results with each treatment, making them a safe, reliable way to achieve your goals. Since different lasers work for different purposes, we can always choose the best one for your goals and skincare needs.

Am I a Good Candidate for Laser Treatments?

Deciding whether laser treatments are right for you requires a consultation and review of your goals. Good candidates for these treatments have reasonable expectations and understand the benefits and risks. Some lasers are not recommended for darker skin tones, while others are safe for everyone. In general, you should not have laser treatments on broken or irritated skin.
