How Does Medical Weight Loss Work?

Medical weight loss utilizes the knowledge of the body’s necessities to maintain its weight and control fluctuations. The treatments enhance the body’s ability to metabolize fat through controlled dieting and injections of necessary proteins and vitamins. 

Injections typically take less than 15 minutes in-office. Specialized nutritionists will provide approved diet programs to assist in weight loss. During the program, you may experience more than metabolizing fat, such as enhanced liver function and improved energy levels. 

Types of Medical Weight Loss at Alamo Ranch

There are many types of weight loss programs. At Alamo Ranch, we are dedicated to assisting you with your health goals. We provide two types of medical weight loss programs to improve your diet and weight. 

Lipo B

Lipo B focuses on injecting B vitamins and amino acids. Unlike other treatments, lipo B travels throughout the body rather than remaining isolated in one area. Usually, the injections are in the buttocks, but there are other areas we may provide injections. 

Lipo B contains B12 for metabolizing fat and protein, inositol to manage fat, cholesterol, and insulin, methionine for metabolizing fat and carbohydrates, and choline to improve cell membranes and metabolize fat. 

People’s digestive systems typically do not absorb these vitamins well, so the injection ensures the full benefit. We recommend ongoing series of injections until you are close to your weight loss goals.

hCG Diet

A hormone called hCG appears in the body in the early months of pregnancy. Combined with a specialized diet, the hCG hormone can trigger other hormonal changes to enhance the metabolism.

The main weight-loss phase lasts 3-6 weeks, depending on the doctor’s diagnosis. You will need to limit your calorie intake to two small meals a day during the program while receiving hCG injections. The rapid weight loss astounds many patients who complete the program.
