About Secret™ RF Microneedling

Microneedling is well-known for its ability to improve skin tone, texture, and firmness. Secret™ RF microneedling adds a new dimension to this popular treatment with radiofrequency (RF) energy. This energy works in the deeper layers of the skin to trigger dramatic improvements in signs of aging or uneven skin tone.

Secret™ RF microneedling uses tiny needles that penetrate a few millimeters into the skin. This creates areas of micro-damage that trigger the skin’s natural healing response and stimulates the skin cells to produce elastin and collagen, two proteins vital to the skin’s firmness and elasticity. 
 At the same time, the needles emit RF energy into the subdermal layers of the skin. This energy transforms into heat under the skin, triggering more collagen production in the deeper levels of the skin. It also enhances the tightening effects of collagen production by heating the existing collagen fibers and causing them to contract.

Numbing cream keeps most people comfortable during their microneedling session. You might feel heat or a tingling sensation. The Secret™ RF microneedling system is highly customizable with tips for both face and body. It also offers non-insulated and semi-insulated needles for precise control of where the RF energy acts under the skin. Treatment sessions take about 20 minutes.

You will start to notice the effects of collagen production after four to six weeks. Most people need three or more treatments spaced a month apart. You will see tighter, smoother skin with fewer lines and wrinkles. Acne scars and other skin blemishes will be less visible. Your skin will look noticeably smoother and firmer. You can expect your results to last three months or more if you follow your aftercare recommendations.

Your skin may be pink and sensitive for a day or two after treatment. You can return to your usual activities, but make sure to avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen to protect your skin while it heals. Continued use of sun protection will help your results last longer. Avoid any harsh cleansers or products for the first few days after treatment. 

If you have mild to moderate loose skin, lines and wrinkles, or other signs of aging, you may make a good candidate for Secret™ RF microneedling. This treatment works safely on all skin types and tones. You should not have Secret™ RF microneedling if you have a pacemaker or other electrical device or if you have a skin infection in the treatment area.
