About VelaShape III

FDA-cleared VelaShape III can reduce the circumference of your abdomen or thighs. It can also reduce the appearance of cellulite. VelaShape III uses three types of energy to shrink fat and smooth out cellulite. With the ability to tighten the skin and stimulate collagen production, VelaShape III is a powerful body contouring tool. 

VelaShape III uses infrared light, radiofrequency (RF) energy, and vacuum suction to produce results. Infrared and RF energies heat fat and deeper layers of skin. This heat signals the skin to produce collagen and elastin. This new collagen tightens and firms the skin, giving the treated area a more sculpted appearance. 

The suction from VelaShape III acts as a massage to stimulate the skin and connective tissue. When treating cellulite, this suction helps break down fibrous bands called septae. These bands adhere to the skin and push fat toward the skin’s surface, creating the dimpled appearance of cellulite. By releasing these fibrous bands and triggering new, healthy collagen, VelaShape III makes cellulite look smoother and more even. 

One applicator applies all three types of energy, allowing your provider to finish your treatment in only 20 to 30 minutes. The non-invasive procedure causes no discomfort. You may feel a slight tugging sensation, but this does not feel uncomfortable. The RF and infrared energies only produce enough heat to signal skin tightening and restructuring, not enough to harm your tissues. 

Most people will need at least three sessions to achieve optimal results. VelaShape III works so gently that you can have treatments only a week apart. You will start to see results after three treatments, and they will continue to develop for several more weeks as your body produces more collagen. 

When used on the abdomen or thighs, VelaShape III reduces the treated area’s circumference and makes it look more toned and contoured. When used on mild to moderate cellulite, it improves the texture and appearance of dimpling. It also tightens the skin to make the area smoother and firmer. 

You will have no downtime with VelaShape III. This non-invasive treatment lets you go back to your usual daily activities without limitations. Avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen to protect your skin during the collagen-remodeling process. 

If you maintain a healthy lifestyle and still have areas of stubborn fat or cellulite, you may be a good candidate for VelaShape III. This is a body contouring treatment and not intended for fat removal, so good candidates should be close to their target weight with only targeted problem areas.
