What to Do After Microneedling

There is little to no downtime with microneedling, so you are free to return to your normal activities right after treatment. After your microneedling appointment, you may experience redness or discomfort in the treatment area, but this is usually minor and will fade within a day or two. 

After your microneedling treatment, you should avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen diligently as your skin heals. Avoid applying makeup to the treatment area for at least 48 hours, as the products can clog pores and even cause breakouts. Avoid exfoliants, scented products, and products that cause sun sensitivity. 

To protect your skin from infection, wash your hands before touching the treated area. You should avoid swimming pools, saunas, or intense workouts and other activities that will cause you to sweat heavily.
