Emsculpt San Antonio

What is EmSculpt®?

Your body’s muscles contract and create small tears when you do an intense workout, causing them to repair themselves more defined and sculpted. Utilizing electromagnetic energy pulses, EmSculpt® achieves increased muscle mass and tone in just a few sessions.

What is EmSculpt®?

EmSculpt® uses electromagnetic pulses to trigger supramaximal contractions–intense muscle contractions that cannot be attained through voluntary muscle movements. These contractions are the equivalent of many hours of exercise in FDA-cleared areas such as:

  • Abdomen
  • Thighs
  • Calves
  • Arms
  • Buttocks

Through electromagnetic pulses, EmSculpt® causes approximately 20,000 contractions in thirty minutes. The muscles release chemicals locally to announce that they are being overworked. These chemicals signal to the fat cells in the area, causing them to break down their contents. The overabundance of fatty acids overwhelms the fat cells, causing them to malfunction and die. During this chemical reaction, the muscles undergo changes on the cellular level, strengthening the target area.

In essence, you lose fat cells while toning your muscles without lifting a finger.

What are EmSculpt® Treatments Like?

While laying down in the chair, the sessions feel like an intense workout. The intensity settings are adjustable to your comfort level and go through three phases. The first phase begins with the tightening of muscles, with the second pushing into more intense contractions. The third uses slow, deliberate contractions to flush out toxins or lactic acid to relax the muscles.

The treatment lasts about 30 minutes. You may feel increased tightness after the first treatment. Results appear in a day or two with firmness around the treatment area. For optimal results, however, four treatments are recommended.

How Long is Recovery with EmSculpt®?

There is no downtime needed with EmSculpt®. While it is the equivalent of an intense workout, the session goes through three phases. The first two phases tone the muscles, while the last session uses slow and deliberate contractions to flush out any toxins or lactic acid, helping to decrease the possibility of soreness after a workout.

Many people have given testimony that they feel little to no discomfort after the treatment, while others experience muscle soreness similar to after a good workout.

What Results Can I Expect With EmSculpting®?

With EmSculpting®, you should see a decrease in fat with improved muscle tone in targeted areas. Studies have shown a muscle mass increase averaging around 16%. The fast-acting results have caused a burst in popularity for this treatment. Results appear right away, but you may achieve optimal results after four sessions spaced apart by only a few days.

Similar to exercising, the results of EmSculpt® will fade if not maintained with a healthy lifestyle and regular workouts. EmSculpt® is a supplement to a healthy lifestyle, not a replacement for one.

Am I a Candidate for EmSculpt®?

Most people are good candidates for this non-invasive treatment. The best candidates live a healthy lifestyle and are close to their ideal body weight, wanting to sculpt and tone difficult areas. Anyone with metal or electronics in their body may not be an ideal candidate due to electromagnetic pulses.

“I go there regularly for botox and filler services & have always enjoyed wonderful customer service. The staff at the clinic were all very friendly & professional & I loved working with Dr. Sanchez. He is a fantastic doctor!”
