San Antonio Dermal Fillers

How Much are Dermal Fillers?

Do you want to enhance your facial features or restore them to a more youthful appearance? You can have fuller, more contoured features with dermal fillers. These products add volume to improve your natural appearance, correcting signs of aging or enhancing your appearance no matter how young you are.

What are Dermal Fillers?

Aesthetics specialists inject dermal fillers into the skin to provide volume, lift, and fullness. Areas people often have dermal fillers include:

  • Cheeks
  • Lips
  • Smile lines
  • Fine lines around the mouth
  • Deep lines and wrinkles

Dermal fillers can improve all of these areas to undo signs of aging and give you the fuller, more contoured facial features you want to see.

How Do Dermal Fillers Work?

At Alamo Ranch Laser Aesthetics, we use the Juvederm® collection of fillers. This family of dermal fillers uses hyaluronic acid, a molecule found naturally in the skin. This type of dermal filler improves skin plumpness and fullness by adding immediate volume and drawing in moisture to add more volume. Hyaluronic acid attracts and holds moisture in the skin, helping to keep your results natural-looking.

How Much are Dermal Fillers?

Providers often price dermal fillers by the syringe. You may use more than one syringe, depending on the treatment areas. Dermal filler costs depend on these factors:

  • Type of dermal filler
  • Amount of filler needed
  • Provider’s pricing
  • Your location

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons notes that hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvederm® cost on average $684 per syringe. Allow us to help you choose the right dermal fillers for your needs and give you an accurate estimate.

Dermal Fillers or Botox®?

You have several options for reducing your lines and wrinkles. Juvederm® dermal fillers work best on static wrinkles or those that form from age and skin laxity. Botox® works on wrinkles caused by muscle movement, such as those on the forehead, between the brows, and around the eyes.
Fortunately, you can have both. Juvedern® and Botox® are safe to use at the same time since they work differently. Botox® stops the activity of targeted facial muscles to relax lines and wrinkles away, while Juvederm® lifts them from beneath to reduce their appearance.

What Results Will I See With Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers like Juvederm® show immediate added volume, which will improve over the next few days. You will see the treated areas look fuller, softer, and more youthful. Areas like the lips use a more flexible dermal filler, so you achieve natural-looking results that move freely. Areas like the cheeks use a firmer filler that maintains your volume and lift. Other fillers meet all the needs in between, such as lines and wrinkles.

Results with Juvederm® can last anywhere from six months to eighteen months. Softer fillers like those in the lips will break down faster than thicker ones like those in the cheeks.

Is There Any Downtime With Dermal Fillers?

You can return to your regular activities with no downtime. Some people notice minor sensitivity or bruising around the injection sites, which will disappear within a day or two. Juvederm® treatment can take as little as 15 minutes, letting you finish your treatment and go back to your busy day with almost no disruption.

Am I a Good Candidate for Dermal Fillers?

Most people make good candidates for fillers like Juvederm®. Hyaluronic acid has been demonstrated to remain safely in the body for as long as your dermal filler lasts. The body will eventually remove the material.
